1.         180730H.  Company D (rein), on combat patrol (Operation FLUSH), moved out in a westerly direction from saddle (BT 434079) towards objective at (BT 417084).  At 180730H small arms fire was received vicinity (BT 422082), resulting in one WIA.  At 0855H more sniper fire was received from (BT 416082).  No casualties.

2.        190900H-191500H.  During sweep of Ky Hoa Island centered (BT 4914), total of 62 local nationals were apprehended by companies A and B at various locations and detained for interrogation as possible VCS.

3.         191030H.  One 12 ga. Shotgun was found by Company A in undergrowth at (BT 493139) during sweep of Ky Hoa Island.

4.         211350H.  Second Platoon, Company D received small arms fire while on platoon combat patrol.  Platoon was moving northward to the west of Hill 22 (BT 423091) and received fire from across the river at (BT 420093).  Fire was returned, but units were not sent across the river.  Enemy withdrew from contact.

5.         211235H.  Company D (-), while on combat patrol, apprehended one VCS vicinity (BT 454067) in process of searching out cave system in same location.

6.         211915H.  Company D (-), while on combat patrol, received approximately twelve rounds sniper fire from (BT 454064).  Five was immediately returned, and enemy withdrew from contact.  No casualties on either side.

7.         221800H.  Second Platoon, Company A, while on combat patrol, spotted three VC setting in punji stakes at (BT 429077).  VC escaped as point took them under fire.  No casualties were inflicted or sustained.

8.         231745H.  Shortly after being heli-lifted into LZ at (BT 445045), Company B (-) spotted approximately fifty armed VC fleeing hamlet of Ky Long 2 (BT 438047) towards Ly Long 1 (BT 437055).  Artillery fire missions were called and one VCK was subsequently found at (BT 438038).  One platoon moved into village and apprehended one VCS at (BT 438046).  At 231600H, one Marine was slightly wounded in leg by punji trap at (BT 442048).

9.         240640H.  Second Platoon, Company B, moving up trail at (BT 411072), noticed seven VC attempting to come up on them from the rear.  Brief firefight ensued in which three VC were killed.  No USMC casualties.  Two weapons were picked up from VCKs, one M-1 carbine and one French rifle.

10.       240745H.  1st Platoon, Company B, hearing noises in brush, spotted three VC and set immediate ambush at (BT 423077).  Marines wounded two VC captured one in critical condition.  Other wounded VC left blood trail and was pursued.  One M-1 carbine was picked up as result of encounter.  No USMC casualties.  VC in critical condition died at 240930H.
