My Frag Order #32 follows:
1. Situation.
A. Enemy. See current ISUMS.
B. Friendly. Remains the same.
2. Mission. 1st Bn (rein), 4th Marines continue to consolidate TAOR #1 by conducting aggressive daylight and night combat patrols, establishing ambushes, conducting search and clearing operations in villages. Be prepared to assume control of TAOR #3 on short notice in addition to TAOR #!.
3. Execution.
A. Company A (rein). Lift from LZ Robin to vicinity of checkpoint 99 commencing 011400H. Recon platoon will select, clear and provide guidance for landing. Upon landing move south to vicinity GC 522971. Establish night defensive position. Be in position south of checkpoint 120 at BMNT on 2 June. Commence search and clearing operation at first light from vicinity south of checkpoint 120, north to checkpoint 121. Be prepared to relieve company D on Battalion objective ‘O’ upon completion of assigned mission on 2 June.
B. Company B (rein). Provide one platoon to conduct daylight combat patrol vicinity Hill 213 on 1 June. Submit plans to S-3. Provide one platoon to conduct combat patrol commencing 020600H establish blocking position vicinity checkpoint 115. Be prepared to move blocking position to other designated location south on short notice. Provide one platoon to assist in IMP CP defense. Be prepared to be deployed as helo lifted fast reaction force on short notice 1 and 2 June. Upon assignment of mission as fast Reaction force, platoon commander report immediately to S-3 for briefing.
C. Company C (rein). Provide one platoon to helo lift from LZ Falcon to LZ Mynah commencing 010930. Continue improving defense of BLT Objective ‘P’. Continue to assist in the defense of 81mm mortar platoon firing position.
D. Company D (rein). Helo lift Company D (-) from LZ Mynah to LZ Robin commencing 0`11200H. Assist in IMP CP defense. Coordinate with Hqtrs CMDT. Provide working parties as required. Coordinate with S-1. Provide liaison officer to District Headquarters, depart 011600H. Report to S-2 at 011430H for briefing.
E. H&S Company. Continue presently assigned mission of improving CP defense and providing working parties as required. Continue planning for search and clearing operation by 106RR platoon and Flame Section of 3 June.
F. Attached Units.
1. 1st Plat, Co B, 3d Recon Bn. Conduct recon patrol from present position to vicinity checkpoint 99. Select, clear and mark LZ vicinity of checkpoint 00. Provide guidance for helo lift of Company ‘A’ to selected LZ. Lift off time from LZ Robin: 011400H. Establish ambush commencing 012000H vicinity GC 518987. Secure ambush at BMNT 2 June and establish blocking position vicinity coordinates 512975. Be prepared to move blocking position to another location on short notice. Be prepared to helo lift to LZ Robin upon completion of assigned mission on 2 June.
2. 1st Plat, Co B, 3d AT Bn. Assist in the defense of Imp CP. Conduct PM checks of vehicles. Be prepared to conduct operations as assigned. Submit recommended missions to S-3 ASAP.
3. 1st Plat, Co C, 3d TK Bn. Assist in the defense of IMP CP. Conduct PM checks of vehicles. Be prepared to conduct operations as assigned. Submit recommended missions to S-3 ASAP.
G. Coordinating Instructions.
1. All units reporting to IMP CP report to S-3 immediately upon arrival for instructions. Coordinate sector defense of IMP CP with Hqtrs CMDT.
2. Units being relieved of CP defense will not leave defensive positions until physically relieved in place by the incoming unit. Insure a minimum of 24% security at all times during daylight hours.
3. Report ASAP all arrivals and departures of units from respective defensive positions.
4. Report to S-3 by 1700 the day prior to scheduled helo operations the number of personnel to be lifted. Insure all units leaving respective defensive positions have in their possession air panels to mark LZ’s and smoke for signaling aircraft. Notify S-3 of color of smoke to be utilized for helo operations. Upon request of helos for emergency evac or other emergency/priority missions, come up on Barrelhouse frequency (49.6) when helos approach position.
5. Companies reporting locations of patrols and ambushes utilize checkpoints closest to units position, not a single base checkpoint.
6. Insure that helmets are worn at all times when moving within the CP during the hours of darkness and/or when leaving the CP perimeter. Soft covers are authorized within the CP during the hours of daylight.
7. Insure that T/O weapons are carried by personnel at all times. (includes head and showers).
8. Operations overlay.
