OPSUM #19 Period Covered 021100H to 031100H June 1965
1. Operations.
A. Co A, is in defense of Obj ‘O’ with an element on LZ Hawk assisting in defense of 81mm mortar platoon. One platoon moved to Hill 385 to relieve Co C. One platoon size patrol at GC 510978 on return route.
B. Co B, conducted local patrols in vic of Obj ‘N’. No enemy contact. One platoon as fast reaction force at Bn CP, presently on Panzer patrol vic GC 572972.
C. Co C, moved from Obj ‘O’ to defense of Obj ‘P’. Presently awaiting helo lift to Obj ‘Q’.
D. Co D, in defense of Bn CP. This company is standing by to provide a blocking force south of TAOR #1 if needed.
E. 1st Plat, B Recon, lifted from LZ Robin to LZ Jaybird. Patrolled to and secured LZ Falcon. Awaiting for helo return to Bn CP.
F. One section of HEAVYFIST B-1 accompanied regimental patrol to and from Quang Ngai without incident. Continued in defense of Bn CP. One section currently vic GC 5302 with engineers working on road to Hill 213.
G. 1st Plat, Co C, 3d Tk Bn, continued in defense Bn CP. At this time unit located GC 572972 on Panzer patrol.
H. Artillery and 81mm mortar plat fired H&I fires during the period.
