1.         Purpose.        To publish Battalion training schedule for the week of 11 May to 17 May 1975 .

2.         Background.  Reference (a) directs that each unit publish a weekly training schedule.  Reference (b) provides guidance and a general syllabus of training.

3.         Action

a.         Company Commanders will be guided by the provisions of reference (c) and this bulletin in the conduct of training in the Battalion.

b.         Company Commanders are reminded of the importance attached to the implementation of reference (d) which requires that all instruction be accompanied by lesson plans.  All lesson plans, essential data sheets, and attendance rosters except those associated with Officers/SNCO training will be maintained at the Company level.

c.        Company Commanders are reminded of the provisions of reference (d) which requires previously planned collateral training in the event of inclement weather.  Reference (c) provides an inclement weather training schedule to be used as necessary.

d.         Headquarters and Service Company (less 81mm Mortar Platoon, 106mm RR Platoon, and Communications Platoon) will conduct MOS training.

e.         1st Platoon, Co ‘C’, 3rd Engineer Battalion will spend the period 11 May to 17 May involved in MAU Camp Maintenance/Construction projects.

f.          Battery ‘G’ (-), 3rd Battalion, 12th Marines and LSU 1/4 will conduct necessary maintenance on equipment as well as MOS training.

g.         Company Commanders will make all efforts to complete Kubasaki and Human Relations requirements.

4.         Training Highlights

            a.         JEST School 13-15 May 1975        (one designated platoon/day)

b.         Water Survival Training        (Cubi Point Pool for designated company)

c.         Live FIREX B Company, 106’s, 81 Mortar Plt 12-15 May 1975 (Zambales Maneuver Area)

d.         FAM    Firing, D Company 12-15 May 1975(Boton Rifle Range)

e.         Company Tactics, A Company 12-15 May 1975  ( Subic Training Area 1 and 2)

f.          Battalion PT 12 May, 17 may 1975

5.         Safety.            Training safety is of paramount importance and must be carefully measured against the desire and requirement for realism.  Prevention of untimely death must be one of primary concern during training.

6.         Self-Cancellation.      31 May 1975
