1220 New Business-

1) Larry Quinn- Middle of September for reunion. -After a lengthy discussion it was decided that the time frame for the re-union, early October would stand.

2) Color of shirts - would like sage green or celery green. After lengthy discussion, it was decided that the present style of golf shirts were to be provided, that to get tees made as well would not be cost effective, and that each Bn Logo, that of the 3rd and 1st Div, would BOTH be placed on the Golf shirts at left and right breast, since the Association is open to all 1/4 and not just those having served in RVN.

Thurm further re-iterated accommodation of Camp Pendleton in the after action reports, in particular the defense of LZ Loon from which has been derived tactical defenses extant today. He further stated that the book "Loon" by Jack McLean was soon to be made a movie.

1245 Ed Beesly reports that there is to be a new education building in Washington, DC which would include an 8' by 8' "postcard, which would serve as America's "Welcome Home" to Vets. Flyers distributed explain how the signing and mailing of said flyers would result in the sender's name to be included on the post card. The project is open to ALL, not just Vets and it will be left at "The Wall". Ed stressed the importance of this event due to the decline in the number of Vietnam Vets still living; less than 1/3 are alive today. In relation to this event, Ed will be performing with Connie Stevens. Ed requests that we all consider participation in this event.

1250- Thurm announced that there is to be a documentary regarding "Con-Thien" and a movie producer has been contacted. The focus will be on 1/4.

1255 Chaplain Peter Cignorella led the closing prayer and the meeting was adjourned, following the singing of "The Marine Corps Hymn".
