g. Other: At 281330H, vic (BT 500065) An Tan, a USMC 6 x 6 was taken under S/A fire on the main street and received five hits. An Tan is off limits to all military personnel until further notice.

a. Province Headquarters reports at 290600H that intelligence indicates one VC Company getting up ambush vic (BT 435099), (BT 446082), (BT 439100) and (BT 450085) with two additional Companies at same location for reinforcement, no further information available.

12. Continuation of sniper, terrorist tactics can be expected. Remain especially alert to this threat during the up coming celebrations of 1 Nov 65. The date commemorates the fall of NGO DIEN DIEM from power. Large crowds with USMC participation will offer excellent targets for terrorists attacks.
