1.         Situation.

            a.         Enemy forces.

(1)               Current INTSUMS.

(1)               4th Marines continues Operation Neosho against VC/NVA in assigned TAOR.

(2)               1st MAW provides fixed wing and helo support.

(3)               3rd Battalion 12th Marines provides artillery support.

(4)               Det, Co B, 3rd Engr Bn (Demo Tms), direct support.

c.         Attachments and Detachments

(1)               Det, HQ Co, 4th Mar (Sniper Tms), attached effective 110830H, Nov 67.

2.         Mission.  Conduct aggressive small unit activities and S&D operations in assigned OA to exploit sighting of 250-300 NVA vic YD 5524.

3.         Execution.

            a.         Concept of Operation.  (See overlay)

b.         Co B (rein).  On orders, on 11 Nov 67, sweep along axis Blue into assigned OA and conduct S&D operations there in.

c.         Co D (rein).  On orders, on 11 Nov 67, sweep along axis White into assigned OA and conduct S&D operations there in.

            d.         Coordinating Instructions.

(1)        Company Commander Co D designated local tactical commander.

                        (2)        Adhere strictly to the rules of engagement.

(3)               Report by fastest means available all enemy contact IAW normal spot reporting procedures.

(4)               Submit day and night activities to Bn CP NLT 1200H the day prior.

(5)               Caution friendly troops on mines and booby traps known to abound in OA.

(6)               Do not destroy captured materials or foodstuffs.  Report locations and await instructions.

(7)               Report POW’s and detainees to Bn CP and await instructions.

(8)               Operation terminates on order this Cmd (schedule, Duration is 3 days).

4.         Admin and Logistics

            a.            Prescribed load.  As prescribed by Company Commanders.

            b.            Resupply.  Submit requests by 1300H day prior.

            c.            Uniform and Equipment.  As prescribed by Company Commanders to include flak jackets and helmets.

            d.            Med Evac.  Helo evac IAW standard procedure.

            e.            Drinking Water.  Streams avail in OA.  Ensure halazone tablets are utilized.

5.         Command and Comm/Elec.

            a.            Command Posts.  Report all locations when established.

            b.            Visual.  Plts carry colored smoke and air panels.

            c.            Comm/Elec.
